This northeast Minneapolis neighborhood first flourished due to the railroad and milling industries along the Mississippi River, but today the area is largely a quiet community with green spaces along the river and at Marshall Terrace Park. Housing is concentrated in the eastern part of the neighborhood where residents have access to walking and biking trails along the river, reaching all the way to downtown Minneapolis.
